In This Together (2025)

2025 saw the return of our drama devising project for Veterans and adult family members. The group worked with Sarah Scott-Keiller and Josef Boon to devise a piece which explored the themes of Moral injury and right vs wrong.

Here’s what the group had to say:

“I wasn’t sure I would fit in and be able to do my part, but I ended up enjoying working with everyone…[it was] relaxing and more enjoyable. I’m glad I did because it gives you a feeling of belonging to other likeminded people.”

“We have something in common… It’s good to do something completely different. It will always cheer you up…I feel part of something bigger than myself.”

“I didn’t realise what a bad place I was in. It was an eye opener. Stand Easy has given me so much. It’s made me laugh, and I needed to laugh. We are a group…. When you get to my age, not a lot of folk have their mental capacity. I was worried I’d lose it. But coming here keeps me mentally alert. I look forward to coming each week.”
